Wilson’ Leather Will Start Touting Designer Handbags
The once large leather mogul Wilson’s Leather has been experiencing a marked decline in its efforts to remain a viable and productive retail chain of fine leather products. But, in its attempt to do so, they have experienced poor sales and a general steady decline in consumer’s who want their product.
In their attempt to revitalize their name and still stake a claim in the fashion market, Wilson’s Leather will soon begin marketing their version of designer handbags. They are hoping and making this a last attempt effort to awaken the Wilson’s name and remain a viable stock option for trader’s and consumer’s:
“This is the final throw,” said Eric Beder, an analyst with Brean Murray Carret & Co. in New York. “Either this is going to work, and you’ll have created a viable accessories chain that has potential for significant margins of return — or you’ve made your last shot, and the company isn’t really relevant at all.”
I have been a big fan of Wilson’s Leathers for years with several leather coats in my closet that I have always adored. I was very disappointed to see them leave the Birmingham, AL location and even went as far as driving to another location about 45 minutes from my house to find one of their specialized items. I hope this final attempt for them to make a name for themselves will be productive and be the magic key that they are seeking.
Only time will tell.
