Summer Ready With a Marc Jacobs Beach Tote

I don’t know about you, but I just cannot do it. Pay $658 for a beach tote. Yes, that’s right. $658! This is one of those times when knock-offs are acceptable, right?

I mean, would you take this ultra-nice bag to the beach to get sand and water in it? Or worse, pool water? I mean, what’s the point of being at the beach or the pool if you can’t enjoy yourself because you’re worried about your leather goods?

Let’s see if we can find a nice knock-off…

Well, couldn’t find a knock-off quite in comparison, but I did find some other cute stuff. This mini canvas beach tote is cute and fashionable and only $19.99. You can find it at caribbeancharm.com.

Then, there’s this pink croc tote from Baghaus.com that is simply cuuuute. Now I wouldn’t mind sporting this one at the beach. On sale for $30 (was $46) and has a fresh summer look.
Going to the beach is one of my favorite things to do. I just don’t want to spend my whole time there worrying about my “things” and what’s going to happen to them. Marc Jacobs I love, but just can’t give him my $658.

Would you carry a high-end designer bag to the beach? I mean, everybody’s different, so maybe some of you would. Maybe I worry too much about my things getting wet. After all, there are swimsuits that you can’t get wet, right? So maybe there are designer totes that can’t get wet either.

Go figure.
