Designer Knockoffs Are A Crime?

by Bridget Wright on May 9th, 2008

This woman in this news story was arrested for selling designer knock-off purses. Wait, I didn’t even think that was a CRIME! I mean, if and only if the person is selling the merchandise as authentic is when there is a problem. Otherwise, if the customer knows what they are getting (a knockoff), I figure no foul, right?

In a future post, look for my opinion about designer knockoffs. In the meantime, knockoffs are harmless (I think) if they are of solid quality, as close as possible to the original and they LOOK good. I guess this woman was passing off the merchandise as authentic, which is wrong.

But $75.00 for a Louis Vuitton? Come on now, even I know better than that!
